It’s one of the most popular destinations for bachelorette parties, weekend getaways, and spontaneous adventures. The answer depends on several important factors:
📱 Is the Subject Being Tracked?
If the subject’s phone is being tracked, it’s much easier (and more affordable) for one or two investigators to follow them in real time.
But if you’re not able to track their phone or location, things become more complex. That usually means we’ll need a larger team—and careful planning.
🚕 Are They Using Rideshares or Taxis?
When a subject uses taxis or rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft, it can complicate the surveillance. Imagine this:
The subject gets picked up from their Airbnb and is dropped off downtown. As soon as the car stops, we need someone ready to follow on foot. That requires at least two investigators—one to stay in the car and one to jump out and trail the subject through the crowd.

Traffic in downtown Nashville can be unpredictable, especially on weekends or during events. We recently followed a subject who circled the same block three times looking for parking.
Thankfully, we had three investigators on that job. I stayed further out on Rosa Parks Boulevard, while the other two stayed close. When she finally broke away from traffic and turned down Rosa Parks, I was perfectly positioned to stay with her, while the others were momentarily stuck at a light.
